I love Moura's Courtyard Houses in Matosinhos. I am originally from Matosinhos (though I moved to the US at age six). It would be great to buy one of those homes one day as a vacation home for when I go back to see the family. I wonder how often they come up for sale and what part of Matosinhos they...

Thanks for the great suggestions. I had already checked out the ones on the modern kids websites. There is one new one I really like, so we will probably go with that one, since I also want to order a diaper bag and a couple of other things from the site. I just wanted to see what other options were...

I have a coworker who just named his baby boy Miles, very cute. We had a similar language issue, Chimay. We need something that is easy to say in Portuguese as well as English. I think right now, we have decided on Cate. But, I reserve the right to change my mind up until the last minute. Name decis...

Your nursery looks great. I really like the mural. We are gettting the same ikea crib. We don't have any pictures to share yet, but we should by next month or so. Right now we still have to finish the big changes in our condo before we move in. Then, we can start the nursery.

West Elm also has some tinsel trees (not quite as cool as the aluminum vintage trees, but they are pretty cool). And, you can get a 5 footer! I also like their mirrored glass garland and they have some cute ornaments.

No, I don't remember the exact streets. We kind of wandered around. We made a loop, started from the PB side of Soledad Mountain Rd and wandered back down again when we reached the top of the hill. Mostly getting lost in the side streets looking for cool places at which to gawk. It was fun. I kept m...

I finally got a chance to go tour a few of these neighborhoods this past weekend. It was bittersweet. I just can't believe the atrocities commited by some of the home owners. The stucco jobs, the Spanish tile roofing, the endless amounts of country style doors. |:( Even the homes that were near orig...

I have a Noguchi coffee table repro that I love. From what I can tell it's very close to the original. I happened to find it at the Macy's Home store of all places. I was helping my mother pick out a sofa when I spotted the coffee table. It was $300 for the floor sample, which is a lot more affordab...

This is great! I'll definately check out all these locations on my trek around SD. I've seen some of these neighborhoods, but not others, so I'm really excited to check them out. I hope to soon be looking to buy, but in this market it's so hard to get your foot in the door as a first time home buyer...

Thank you! Thank you! I am going to print out this list. I have checked out the SD gallery on this site many times while day dreaming here at work. And the funny thing is that one of my friends lives in the Point Loma tract on Larga. I always thought they were P+K but I wasn't sure. Thanks again!

San Diego P+K Neighborhoods

Hello, everyone! I am hoping you can help me find exactly where the P+K neighborhoods are in San Diego. I want to take a little driving tour this weekend. I know the general locations, but am not sure on the specific streets. College Area (I have seen these, I lived very close while attending SDSU a...

I have quite a lot of IKEA in my home. When I first moved out on my own during college, it's all I could afford that still had a modern sensiblity to it. Now that I'm in my mid 20s and have been out of college for a couple of years, I am itching to get some new and vintage pieces to replace my IKEA ...

Hello

Hi Everyone, Great online community you have here! I've been lurking for a little while, and decided to dive on in. I don't currently live in a MCM home, but I hope to one day. I live in San Diego, and I'm a newlywed, so I am not quite sure how long it will take me. The San Diego housing market has ...
