I'm sure you didn't come to your decision easily. As long as you like it, that's all that matters. I personally prefer flooring with some interest rather than a huge plane of plain!

It almost looks like the sculptures of Hoselton made in Canada, though I've never seen any wall pieces.

Bean-e-doo search

Hi folks, I know I've read detailed experiences about using Bean-e-Doo but seem to be deficient in my search ability. We are in the process of cleaning concrete in one room to see if this a livable option for us. We've removed a thankfully non-asbestos vinyl and have just slight mastic to remove. Ca...

I planned to stay out of this firestorm, but just couldn't hold my tongue any longer. I HATE both kitchens. I could not have lived with that original kitchen. The brown appliances were ugly and the blue is only slightly less so. I also don't consider those cabinets anything special. ( I do like the ...

I just picked up two Salterini chairs that match my lounger for $5 apiece. I tried searching to no avail. Can anyone direct me to a thread about painting or restoring outdoor furniture?

Thanks!

This will be the third year I've done this tour. I've never been disappointed.

It doesn't hurt that it's for such a good cause either!

As for other tours in the DFW area. Preservation Dallas has had modern home tours in the past.

Though I've seen many custom fire pits I prefer, I just installed this one that I settled on. I found it on closeout at Target for $70. There is less contrast in color between the tile and frame than in the pic. It ended up looking better in person. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-2643067-8...

The neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges. This street is full of similar houses in various stages of originality and repair. Exciting to see these lights on here! We have 4 of these on our house (3 in our entry courtyard and one out back), though they've been painted to match the trim by previous owners. I'd never seen them before, but stumbled across 4 more (still black and white) at a garage sale last weekend for $20......
