ARRGH!!!

Am I the only one that is freaking out about the price????? You can't even buy a condo in the worst parts of town here for that and that place is really beautiful! I hope it goes to someone who would love it as much as I do.......

because now is not the best time for pool building - make freinds with the neighbors and put one in come winter

Yeah, I think your probably right on waiting. About 10 or so years ago I had a pool put in at my Eichler in Orange, and even back then it was VERY expensive! But boy was it beautiful......

Thanks Perks, I will try to drive by. The size sounds good (I'm looking to downsize). Being a single gal I'd like a "safe" area if that at all possible in the valley..... :? But I do wish it had a pool.

Nichols, how well do you know this neighborhood? I'm unfamiliar with the "center" parts of the valley (if that makes sense). Also, do you know how long this home has been on the market?

The reason I asked about applying it over existing wallpaper was because the previous owners applied the wallpaper directly onto the sheetrock when they added the room to the house! I was quoted thousands to remove and plaster and prime the walls just so I could paint! And the wallpaper is pink and ...

Does anyone have any experience with putting grasscloth up over existing wallpaper? I have always loved the look, but the room I'd like to put it up in is huge and the walls are two stories high in some places....

FYI: The show is actually called "Moving Up" and it airs on TLC, Doug Wilson (from Trading Spaces) is the host. That pink kitchen was wonderful and the vintage oven and stove were really cool, they turned it into something that looked like an outhouse with a sink and table! :evil:
