Anyone see Flip or Flip on HGTV (Cliff May - Long Beach)?

We saw this last night and holy bologna did they do a lot of damage to the Cliff May they flipped (not surprisingly, I know). Granted, they did do some nice work as well, particularly outside, but they stained out all of the original wood to a light grey. Very odd, especially after consulting with D...

FS, CL - Eames Rocking Chair (1960, Summit) - $650

I would entertain any serious offer. The chair is sitting in a closet and needs a new home.

I was as stunned by Crestview's price increase as you. I'm just grateful we ordered our door light kit a few years ago (the cost was $700 vs. an entire new door purchase at $3700 with Crestview's new prices and discontinuation of the door light kits). Therma Tru has introduced a line of mid-century ...

It is isolated but charming in its own way. Very peaceful area but yes, you'll have a hard time convincing your friends to come all the way out here and you'll hear lots of people saying "we're nearly to Magic Mountain!"

I have a hot tub, maybe not the same as what you are envisioning using but I also sound like I faced this same dilemma (we really wanted a pool but the costs were just too prohibitive). We have tried the cooler hot tub thing and to be honest, it's not very nice, nothing like a pool. I say that knowi...

Granada Hills (Knollwood) 3+2 - $399

A longtime favorite that I drive by on occasion just went up for sale. I have also seen this house profiled on Apartment Therapy. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/12205-Woodley-Ave-Granada-Hills-CA-91344/20110147_zpid/ http://photos3.zillow.com/is/image/i0/i10/i9588/IS-1xcolatq5f9zx.jpg http://phot...

I purchased my house in 2006 and got pool estimates in 2007 and 2008 (I live adjacent to the Eichlers of the Balboa Highlands) and apparently the costs had skyrocketed in the time since Futura Girl got her quote (I remember her giving me her contractor's name at the time). The lowest price I could g...

Any photos of patio overhangs/pergolas?

We're in the very early stages of planning a patio overhang/pergola (it's freestanding) and I wondered if anyone had seen interesting structures online or had their own patio overhang/pergola images they would like to share. Many thanks!

I have the same Nexus Yellow Brown cabinets Redneck Modern and Jakabedy have. We're on the third year and no dings, dents, etc. They are holding up well. I love the functionality of Ikea's drawer system.

Help me identify this finish?

Not necessarily specific to mcm but with all of the handy people on here I was wondering if you could help me identify the finish on these block walls. Is it stucco? It looks smoother than that but am not sure what it would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated! http://farm5.static.flickr.com/40...

We had bamboo, it was installed by a previous owner and unfortunately they did not build a containment system so it began to spread and spread and spread. It pushed up pavers, a wooden deck and was just a general nuisance. I love the look but my advice would be to make absolute sure you have an unde...
