Annie's Pick - Favorite Modern Furniture Resource

I've tried them all (Design Within Reach, Room & Board, Luminaire, Velocity, Crate & Barrel) and HighTower is by far my favorite. Great products that are not over exposed in the market. They specialize in Scandinavian, but also feature DUNBAR. Check them out at: http://hightoweraccess.com As...

Check out these wall panels from Finland -- very cool. We received samples at our firm and I helped a friend put them up in his house here in Colorado. They go up easy

Short-term & Long-term viewpoint

I agree that buying the "real thing" (a topic that can be debated) from the manufacturing company that has the rights to reproduce the specifications of the designer is EXPENSIVE... but I feel stronger that it is a total waste of money to buy a knock-off that will have no long term value to anyone t...

Don't get me going about Room & Board... they make "DWI" look almost honorable. They really did an awful job trying to produce their "midcentury line." Ugh...

Cool... my grandmother in Detroit gave my sister two pieces of a Tete-A-Tete in a Jack Lenor Larson (sp?) fabric and a table very similar to the Golightly. Unfortunately I'm the younger sister and have only picked up some various chairs and small tables on EBAY and at some estate sales.

Thanks for the point in the right direction. I've heard about the area, but never checked out. Maybe we will take a drive this weekend and do "a drive by."

Design Without Integrity

DWR should be DWI (Design Without Integrity) .... I can't believe they sell uneducated buyers knockoffs at inflated prices. In some cases people definitely don't know what they are buying isn't the real thing.

Denver, CO - Modern fixer upper

My boyfriend and I are looking for a starter modern fixer-upper in the Denver area. We're just getting out of college -- so the money is a little short. My parents are helping a little... but it will be mainly "sweat equity."

Use a service to handle it - worth the money.

My brother has a large email list and send an alumni newletter out using a company called Constant Contact --- he says they are great. It costs some money but does a nice job.

Hope that helps.

Dunbar Furniture

Hi Robert! I'm a big Wormley fan. Which Dunbar pieces do you own? I noticed that DUNBAR has a price list online I called the company and found out the pricing is LIST and they provide a 35% - 40% discount to "the trade." I noticed some nice pieces up for auction at Wright during his last event.
