Bisazza Nuvole Mosaic Tile -For Sale 1/2 PRICE-

I am selling quite a bit of gorgeous Bisazza Nuvole glass mosaic tile leftover from my bathroom project. I have 3 full boxes (each contains 10 mesh sheets) and one more box that has 9 mesh sheets left in it for a total of nearly 4 full boxes. Each box covers approximately 22 square feet and the colo...

Bel Air - California Dreamin'

I like this house and could really have fun here (with some of the existing furnishings too). If only I had an extra 12 mil buried in my backyard. Details: 1951 built, almost 5 acres in Bel Air, CA.

we bought our 1955 post and beam after seeing it here on LL after looking for almost a year for the right place. as a matter of fact, the house was actually BELOW our price range, and we would have never even looked at this house if it weren't for the posting on this board. i have tried to "pay...

here's a link to the photos of what we did with ikea cabinets in our 1955 post and beam. bottom cabinets were trashed, but we were able to keep the original uppers. i've been really happy with the ikea cabinets. we bought extra door and drawer fronts for replacing later on down the road, although th...

this cool house has been reduced to $836,100 from around $925,000. the realtor, who's a friend, says she wants to get it sold by the end of this month, so she will probably look at any offers. if someone's willing to do the work to this one- owner, custom built byles home, they could get a great dea...

Glendale, CA - Lautner's Schaffer Residence 1949

I live in the neighborhood and was lucky enough to stumble on the broker's open house of this fantastic home today and got to take a leisurely tour of it. It's listed for nearly 2 million and was supposedly restored by the current owner, who was in attendance, and giving mini tours. I think it sold ...

here's a very cool fixer upper in a great neighborhood for ONLY 1.9 mil. went to the open house yesterday (they had a free gourmet coffee bar), and it's pretty much all original, but needs quite a bit of sprucing up. lots of great period details still intact. it's a local architect who supposedly wa...

no doubt, there are many wonderful mid century homes throughout greater los angeles. what it boils down to, though, is what kind of lifestyle do you want? close to the all of the cool shops, theaters, restaurants and clubs or in a quieter, more secluded location? the hipper areas (i.e. silver lake, ...

Burbank, CA Mid Century

Here's a nice big mid century home that has the bad luck of being located in Burbank with a realtor who has no clue. Not that Burbank is a bad place, but there aren't many residents (or potential buyers) who are hip to this style. Some fun furnishings too. It's above Sunset Canyon in the foothills. ...

here's my two cents for what it's worth...i am also usually a stickler for original details left intact, but i think the tiles should go. although they look original (i have the exact same bathroom sink in my '55), they would be more at home in a mid century ranch style home, not a slick los angeles...

thanks~ they are penny round ceramic tiles. my original choice, a heath ceramic tile, was going to cost a whopping $3000 for just the backsplashes. these tiles cost 1/10th of that and ended up being my favorite element.
