craigslist. i just got a new oven from there. you never know what you'll find on there. also, there's a store in orange (on glassell) that has a vendor who restores vintage appliances. it's not cheap but its really nice stuff.

i'll take photos eventually but i got a new danish modern dining set complete with hutch, buffet and silverwear cabinet. i THINK it's all teak but not sure.

new bedroom set (not danish modern but from the 50's) is still sitting in the livingroom. :(

it would be almost impossible to get the permitting to convert your home to a mostly glass house like the eichlers and cliff mays. there are too many restrictions in california for energy efficiency now. i agree with stephen: i'd just sell it and buy something original. there are so many AMAZING hom...

i'd get a professional to just use a heat gun to get the paint off. it's faster and easier (according to my uncle who paints for a living). i haven't tried it yet though and depending on type of wood the walls are made of, it could scorch the wood.
