On the topic of unusual plants, Bonsai, and the like. House of Bonsai in Lakewood is great. Japanese owners as well and they have a huge collection of Bonsai (Potted and Landscape) amongst the japanese maples, other really great plants/ trees

I also walked this house a couple of weeks ago and spoke with the seller. The "pergo" flooring and carpet can easily be removed and according to the owner the old VAT and mastic have been removed. So it would be really simple to rip out the flooring and polish the slab.

Those pendant Light Fish bowls are really great. When I used to Live in Chicago, there was a Bar in the Wicker Park / Bucktown area that hd them all over. The bar had "Kitty" in the name

The photo referenced is my house and the concrete shown is original to the home. We removed the Wooden Stringers that sat in between each section and laid River Rock. You may have to pour your own or try a Local Stone Supply Company. I had to buy a Large paver to set under the Fountain and I bought ...
