Algemac's Coffee Shop Versus Housing Needs

I'm so glad at least something will be done with this. Thank you Modern Committee for working on it. Gosh, though, I wish it would be a restaurant again. I now live in nearby Atwater Village, and could walk to it. I'm glad to hear that the are saving part of it, but why bother tearing any of it down...

Miracle Mile North HPOZ is Directly Behind This Site

Yes, it is the site of a proposed 5 story, 58 unit mixed use building. Ironically, the Miracle Mile North Historical Preservation Overlay Zone is directly behind this site. I mean, walk by 5877 West Third Street along Poinsettia Avenue, going north, cross the alley behind it, and you're in the HPOZ....

Ellis Act eviction notices were served to all tenants at La Bahia and at Stevenson Apartments on February 22.
