It certainly is original, a little dinged up and in need of some care. I'm going to need to spend some time on the wood to clean it up and refresh it. Its rosewood with the old style round clips. I understand the reason to replace with the right cushions. That said I'm looking for a cheaper option f...

Its been several months and I'm renewing my search for cushions. I'm looking into having the chair redone locally, possibly in a fabric. I know, I know it was meant to be leather but I'm ready to do something a little funky. So I'm looking now specifically for the backing for the chair seat cushion ...

SDR the doors are actually just baltic birch painted. I painted them with Manor Hall.....a really nice paint from Benj. Moore. Rolled on with a foam roller gives it a really great texture. The doors where natural baltic birch for the first few years we lived in the house, I always had the intention ...

Replacement cushions for an Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman

Found an Eames chair locally that is now in my hands. I need to track down replacement cushions or vintage ones. the chair is missing the bottom seat cushion and I'm missing the ottoman cushion. I have the upper two cushions and the armrest but they are very worn. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think that is a really reasonable price. I'm curious what shipping is. I couldn't tell if they come prefinished or not. If it comes prefinished, I don't think I could even build it for that for that. One sheet of walnut ply is somewhere between 120-150 throw in some hinges glue and finish and your...

Six of the chairs are labeled Shelby Williams, the other fifteen are Lion Brand. On my flickr someone commented that they used these in the diner scene in pulp fiction. And are actually from Yugoslavia, maybe they were just imported into New York.

Went by the house last weekend. The city has plywooded over all the windows and doors and has very clear signs marking do not enter unsafe. I must say that the house is falling in on itself rather quickly and I fear its days are numbered.

Lion Brand Chairs

Anybody know the story on Lion Brand Chairs out of New York. I just recently purchased fifteen chairs strictly to reuse the legs. I've been looking for some patio chairs I liked and had decided I was going to have to make my own. Well I found some very aircrafty aluminum legs on these chairs for che...

As you know MRU I recently acquired a vintage on of these. After a close look I do not think it is the same chair as the vintage photo. Mine appears to be identical to the one now offered by DWR and the seat sits much lower than the open arm chair appears too. Compared to diamond chair in that pictu...

I skipped the drawers underneath the bed. I was worried about having enough room to fully open the drawers in our small room. It didn't help when I added up what all those full extension slides were going to cost me.

Well I was cruising the site today and I took a look at my little post. I didn't realize its been nine months since I last posted about the house. Shame on me. I would recomend some tasteful landscaping in the front yard. It will really help pull the house down to the site. You could go crazy with it or be very minimal as long as you select carefully.

FS - Several issues of the infamous NEST design magazine

I have several issues in mint condition. I have issues 2,3,4, 6,7,9; a couple are still in plastic. I really don't want to list them on ebay as I have never done that before from what I can tell they easily go for $30 a piece or more on ebay. Make me a reasonable offer and cover the cost of a flat r...
