We followed your advice and went with the smaller recessed bulb. It is perfect--thanks for the suggestion. Now, on to the next project! :)

light bulb question

We got this awesome wall sconce from a guy in the neighborhood. After installing it in the stairwell, we realized that the light bulbs we got for it didn't quite fit. We tried big globe light bulbs from the home improvement store, which look great, but the stems weren't actually long enough to fit i...

Thanks for all of the responses. I think all this has done is made me more confused in the direction that I should go!!! It's a great house to begin with, so I don't think we could go wrong with any of the ideas posted within. Johnny, We did end up in Northcrest on summitridge. We've been in teh hou...

It's dark in here!!! Suggestions for interior lighting?

We have been in our home for about a year now and have decided that we are in dire need of additional lighting in the main family/dining room. The problem is that with the t&g ceiling there is no chance for recessed lighting and track lighting seems like it would be less than attractive. Take a ...

Bathroom Remodel pics: From country to cool

Take a look at our bathroom remodel...This took about 2 months to finally complete between us doing the demo work and the subcontractor failing to show on multiple occasions. We are really happy with the final product. Any suggestions for art on the wall? It looks a little plain at the moment. See b...

I would rather not jimmy-rig anything up. I would prefer to have a custom cabinet made...We're not talking a huge piece here, so I would not imagine the cost would be that high. That would be great..We are getting ready to close on our new home on summitridge coming up next month and I want to have ...

Custom bathroom cabinet in Atlanta

We are in need of a narrow double vanity for our bathroom remodel. It is very difficult to find a double vanity in 50" width. I have found one, but they want over $3k for it. I am wondering if I could get this custom built for much less. Anybody know of anyone in Atlanta who could handle this. ...

Atlanta GA - NEED an MCM sub 300K

We have been desperately seeking an MCM in the Atlanta area for over 3 months only to miss out on an excellent home in Northcrest. We are looking for a well-maintained original or updated home under 300K. Anyone have any suggestions or listings they could turn us on to. We have literally seen every ...

Looking for MCMs in Atlanta

We have been searching for months now to find a good quality MCM in the Atlanta area. So far we have run across the NorthCrest neighborhood which we love, but have only found a smattering of MCMs around town. Anyone know of some other neighborhoods/areas to check out?
