So sorry I didn't see this earlier. I live in North Hills and used to live in Granada Hills for many years. There's some great houses up there! I'm also looking to find more vintage-loving folks in The Valley. Hope I can catch the next one.

Wow, I had no idea this had happened! I've been to many of their Oktoberfests and it seems odd for them to destroy the beer garden when it was always a packed event.

A few on there are not bad, but still too pricey for us commonfolk and how about a pair of sleeves now and then for the chronically cold?

Wasn't expecting much, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. It was an appropriate update on the character for today without watering it down too much for today's audiences. (Although, the herione's styling seemed a bit "disco" to me.) At least I felt like I'd gotten my money's worth in...

I also live in a Fickett in Granada Hills. Unfortunately, it's been remodeled and I too would love to find info on original ones. Especially if there are any photos around so I could see what the interior used to look like. Otis, I'd love to see pics of your place if you'd like to post them in the g...

Mod House for sale - Glendale, Adams Hill

I was taking a walk with the boyfriend today when we came across a rather cool looking modern house for sale on Adams Hill in Glendale. According to the realty website this 1955 house is being sold by the original owner. From what we could tell through the windows it looks like it was remodeled once...

Last Show of This Is Cinerama - Hollywood

Sorry for the last minute notice, but tonight's the last chance to see the original version of "This is Cinerama" from 1952 presented in actual Cinerama. I just saw this film last night and it was fantastic!. It's basically a 2 hour advert for the wonders of Cinerama. Here's what a friend of mine ha...
