Has anyone seen the hanging fish globe? I've only seen two, one was for sale at a mcm shop and one was owned by a girl I knew. Basically it hangs from the ceiling like a pendant light but it's for the fishies! :D

Crate and Barrel has circle place mats in a variety of materials: palm, cork, pvc, rattan, capiz shells and metal rings. It looks like they have everyone covered whether you are going for Tiki or Danger: Diabolik!

Your house is really beautiful. I like your house numbers as well. I'm kicking myself for not checking OSH first for our house numbers.

Since our house was originally built by a local builder/contractor in 1951 (there are about 12-15 in the area), it was your typical quartered postwar home that didn't really have modern architectural details. So, the decision to go with a contractor for our addition/renovation wasn't a hard one. I d...

Tracy, CA - 1959 Midcentury Home

My husband and I were visiting my in-laws over the weekend and while cruising around looking at the old neighborhoods we stumbled upon this home. My mother-in-law said that it was designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright but there was no mention of it on the realtor's website so I don't know how ...

oh wow.. what an idiot. she said it herself, her grandmother never maintained the house. as with anything, if you don't take care of it, it will not be in tiptop condition.

it's people like her who probably enjoy seeing a new rite-aid on a piece of land that once boast a beautiful mid-century home.

odd photo request.

Hi, everyone. This is my first real post (aside, from my new members intro post), so please, be nice! . My husband and I own a 1951 home. We call it our white box, because it is white (well, off-white) and shaped like a box. It has a flat roof, and the anonymous contractor built about 12 or s...

I'm new and thought I'd stop by and say hello. My husband and I live in a 1951 white box and we are getting ready to do some remodel and additions to our lovely home. Our home is in pretty good condition but there are some things that need to be done (and added, like rooms). The previous owner I thi...
