most Cliff May prefabs used sheet rock on the ceiling, only exposing the ridge beams and side beams. I know a few homes in Long Beach got open ceilings as a builder's choice. Fortunately, my Cliff May prefab in Oregon got the sheetrock ceiling. I was able to remove the ceiling and place R-30 foil ba...

Joe: I was SO totally going to the AQJ exhibit. That is, until my job (playing guitar and traveling a lot) evaporated, resulting in me not being out there on a working trip at that particular time. Among lots of other things, I'm really sorry I missed the show... :( --Robb I also heard the exhibit ...

And, keep us apprised! --Robb I don't think the wire mesh could hold up to the heat. plus these are light weight, good for magazines...

Well it is happening. A plan was just submitted to subdivide the property of the Sondern-Adler residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Kansas City to build one Neutra's case study plans. It effectively makes to Sondern House sit in the back yard of the new Neutra. This is not going to be a happ...

Read the article joe...explains the idea behind the roof. I did. it appears to be for aesthetics rather than function, which, in my mind, would be hard to justify the added expense of design and construction for residential use. I've seen this roof style for commercial design and can see a slightly...
