In rural South Carolina, Frank Lloyd Wright's Auld Brass spreads underneath the Live Oak trees draped in Spanish Moss – its dramatic geometries, copper roof and Cypress construction unseen, even by most FLW fans. The plantation-style home and outbuildings can be seen on tour for one weekend - every ...

FLW: Houses from 95 years ago

The Milwaukee Journal recently ran an article about six small houses built in 1915-1916. These American System-Built Homes were designed by Wright. The aricle can be read at: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/entertainment/111620099.html An image from the article is shown below. http://farm6.static.flic...

dilettante, from what I can tell there are 2 door that access the space correct? If that is the case, I would put a path of rectangle steppers straight across and a specimen Japanese maple on the right (from the picture view). Chose one that has an open form.... a smaller younger tree would be grea...

Those are, perhaps, the best photographic compositions I've ever seen! The photographer of the present had to get exactly the right angle and be at exactly the right distance to make these compositions come together so perfectly.

Very nice!

Thanks for posting these, nichols.
