vegetable garden mcm

Any ideas for a mcm vegetable garden for our CM? Currently it is in the ever boring row planting. I searched this topic and couldn't find anything interesting. I want the garden to blend in with the house. Sunset has a vegetable garden that just looks like a regular garden (varying heights, gravel w...

does anyone know the name of the picture frame that holds sand and can be mounted to rotate to create different sand pictures?? Our neighbor has one and I keep forgetting to ask them what it's called? Thanks

We need a baby room designed for our Cliff May. Do you think the designer of this house can fit us into his OBVIOUSLY busy schedule? And.. just when I think I'm over morning sickness I catch a gander of this "beauty".

sorry it took so long to reply I've been enjoying our pool!!  Seriously though, we got 3 different quotes - 2 of which were close to the same and 1 which was about 1/2 the cost. We were concerned why one was so cheap ($35K and the other two around 70K). Well, even though the "che...

pool

we dug out a buried pool it is just as expensive as putting in a new one. I will PM you tomorrow and let you know what we went through - we were lucky enough to know exactly where it was but not if they had jackhammered the bottom (which they did) or how deep it was. I'd be surprised if they just fi...

modest home

I just read a few weeks ago, can't remember where, possibly Dwell, how someone had stated that we should now consider a modest home 2500 square feet. Hmmmm I wonder how the families that raised children in my 1600 square foot home were able to survive?? Here's an idea... GET RID OF STUFF!!!!

thanks for the suggestions. We are probably going to do what you both have suggested - fixed louvers - wood to blend in. We are going to paint the fence the facia color, as the house color is too bright and unfort. due to the louver holders being black staining is not really a great option.

fence done need gate ideas

Ok, if I could figure out how to post pix I would but typing is about the best I get! We just finished a vertical louvered fence (they open and close)- it's pretty sweet. We had the idea to do a driveway gate a la cliff may, it was going to look like the windows except have frosted plexi(?)glass ins...

welcome to the neighborhood! You live on my favorite street - I rented down the street before I could afford to buy here! I have a great company that redid the windows in our garage - very happy. If you need the name let me know! BTW get to know the neighbors they're really sweet.

I personally like seeing the post and beam brought together w/ the metal bracket (forgive me for not knowing all the proper terms!) in our living room. I've even considered stripping the metal bracket so that it shines... my husband thinks I'm crazy but then I love the industrial look!

we currently have roller blinds bamboo type and I HATE THEM! They cut off the window sooo as soon as our 6.5 foot wall gets built they are going to a new home :P So we will be down to ZERO curtains/blinds in the house. I love living w/ out curtains I feel like I live outdoors sometimes - one of our ...

We have all our original single pane windows. We had to add a few original looking windows and it was very obvious the difference in windows. So, our thought was to go single pane because 1 double paned window wasn't going to make that much of a difference. We decided to make the difference up with ...
