It was only a matter of time.

Even with their exorbitant fees, I'm sure Architecture for Sale isn't getting by with 20 properties or less on their site.

Re: The spirit of Lotta Livin'-

As for me, "The spirit of Lotta Livin'" should be to try to improve things. Too many of our houses are mindless non-designs. Jerry [/quote] I do believe everyone here is doing their part to "improve things." And that was kinda my point. Maybe I should have said "you're prea...

You may want to check construction salvage yards.

See if there's a Habitat for Humanity outlet in your area, I've seen a lot of nice original mid-century doors at the one near us.

First, go to the building department and find out if a permit was pulled to do this work. If it was and the building inspector signed off on the work then you're good. If not, you're already there, so ask your question to a building dept employee. It will most likely be an issue when you decide to s...

Stephen, while the State of California may not have a problem with Realtors paying referral/finder fees to unlicensed parties, the Dept of HUD does. Per federal RESPA statutes: "It is illegal for anyone to accept a fee or part of a fee for services if that person has not actually performed sett...

From the article: "The new home will be made of wood and steel and finished in muted browns and beiges, said Sheryl Palmer, president and chief executive of Taylor Morrison in North America. ''The 1950s home didn't look like anything, anywhere. It was space-age and kind of cold,'' she said. ''W...

Growing up, I spent one week almost every winter with my family in a modest 1940's beach house on Casey Key... It's very distressing to see the "Pink Stucco Palaces" and other manmade eyesores that have taken over the keys. TomL and I were in Sarasota last August visiting Grandma and spent...

Restoring a Milo Baughman burlwood parsons table...

My mother bought a Milo Baughman burlwood parsons table back in the early 70's. http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/975/baughmantablefo8.jpg My brother had the table for about 9 years until he divorced and now it has come to me. Fortunately and unfortunately he did not know what he had. Fortunate bec...

Harvey Park does have lots of Cliff May pre-fabs. There are also other MCM homes in the neighborhood...
