Your house is beautiful and an inspiration. I can't wait to see shots of the interior. Could you please pass along the source for the bullet lights. I need a few of those for my Eichler.

With the exeption of the AQJ A frame models, none of the Balboa Highland's pitched roof homes are original. Hard to believe but a lot of people have the same bad idea. These homes leave little room to be creative with structurally, that is what furniture and paint colors are for. Why can't people ge...

Van Gogh

Van Gogh is supposedly an excellent school, some of the highest scores in the valley... It was one of the many reasons we moved to the Balboa Highlands ( aside from the obvious) as we have a 1 year old son and want to avoid private school tuition : ) I don't believe that the school itself was part o...

save it

This home is totally doable. I would have done it. It has a lot going for it. People tend to impose their bad taste onto their homes. The owners are smokers and enjoy big furniture. As a result the house looks crammed and it stinks. In this day and age if you don't at least count on painting and rep...

my cents on BH

My husband and I recently purchased an Eichler in BH. We were after one for quite a while. We couldn't take on a severely compromised one because we are not do it yourselfers nor have the time. We were on a hunt for one with good bones and minimal take back challenges. Years later we were rewarded. ...

I mean, not funny at all... There is no second story.
Yes, unfortunately there are some butchered beyond believe homes on Lisette. One of which is known as the Taj Mahal. All we can do now is keep others from suffering the same fate.

I agree with Morbank and MM. You should visit the neighborhoods and befriend people. Our realtor knocked on doors and send postcards but in the end it was a neighbor who called us when the house we just bought came in the market. As a result we have an awesome one of a kind Eichler in 100% original ...

Streinen- You are right. It is called Woodland West - not Corbin Palms. I have been to a house in that tract and they are amaizing if you find one with the original bones. I often see them in TV commercials. They also offer a lot of square footage. Post pictures.

This house on Darla in particular does not have the open floor plan which indeed is a great characteristic of Eichlers. I was not quest...
