Congratulations! It looks like a great home. I particularly like the block screening wall. In regards to the water feature: As the home was designed by an architect; I would assume it was intentional, and likely plays off another element within or adjacent to the space. Do you have any photos that i...

On a related note: Most of the Cliff May home foundations here in Dallas are concrete slabs built on grade. From the ones I have seen, the HVAC ducts are located underground. Here is Texas, I would assume that the climate would have little affect on transfer loss in underground duct, but I am curiou...

Not everyone would agree with me, but I like the pink tile in the bath. Here in Dallas, the light pastel ceramic tile in the bathrooms is the first to go in residential remodels. The original tile is becoming a rarity, particularly when it is in good shape. Seems like a good price per the square fee...

Wichita, KS- 1960 MCM

Here's a 1960 MCM located in Wichita, Kansas. Although there are several in Wichita, this one always stood with it's clean lines and material choice, open carport, and it's visual location along Oliver. It's been slightly modified as it was most recently used as a photographer's studio. Although zon...

When I first saw this property with the owner a few years ago it was in some bad shape. The kitchen was only half there, what remained was the remnants of a typical 1970's installation. I believe the bathrooms were original, but were too far gone for restoration. The "middle" bedroom had b...

Here in Texas painted stucco is very common, unlike in the north where integrated finish color seems to be more prevalent. Because the nature of the material I always recommend an elastomeric paint when painting stucco surfaces. However, it’s very expensive. Usually, between $30 to $40 per gallon ...
