Esquivel

I love Esquivel also!! I play a bunch of his stuff on the way to work and it never fails to get me in a good mood for the shift. I picked up a record recently entitled "Lonesome Echo" by the "Great One", Jackie Gleason. The cover was designed by the artist, Salvador Dali. It intr...

Hymies

I stopped by there yesterday and picked up a "Best of" Baxter record and saw an ad that they are having a big sale this weekend! $1 records this Saturday!

Saw all the soundtracks and will be there before work on Thursday to browse at length. Gotta bring home some more!

I'm sure you've been to Hymies, but if not, GO! I definitely do stop in there once in a while. (What ever happened to that surf shop in the same building? Can't imagine why that went out of business? Lol!) The Baxter albums I found were "Music Out of the Moon" and "Tamboo!" -Bot...

To keep rug or throw it out? Decorating advice?

I live in a one-bedroom apartment and am trying to find nice mid-century things that go together. Pretty hard to find in this town (ST. Paul, MN) as there is a lot of competition in the thrift stores! I recently moved my oriental rug out of the living room to see if it would make the room look a bit...

Thanks for the compliment! I picked that chair up at a store called "Savers" for $5.99 and really love it (I think it's Selig but not sure). They had a sale on Monday and I added a small table to my over-crowded apartment. (Lane 1960's). http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r137/haegerfan/l_...

Possible ID?

Got a lead from a person that said they were almost 99.9% sure that it is a Laurel Lamp design. Can anyone else confirm this?
