I had cork installed after I first moved in and love it; keep in mind it fades quite a bit. I have an awful lot of natural light and it is now many shades lighter in areas.

Los Angeles, CA - Need advice on finding the right house

I recently moved from the Midwest and bought a home in Montecito Heights and love it. I was told by many it is one of the last hillside neighborhoods of affordable housing (relatively) in Los Angeles.
If you are considering Eagle Rock and Mt. Washington we are another option.
Good Luck

Barbeques Galore indicated that if I went with the black glass I could use their black lava to save a few dollars but they are still at $10 per pound at 50-60lbs.
Online it looks like 60lbs would cost me 1/2 to 2/3rds of that. Anyone buy it online?

That crushed glass is big-time expensive..........$10 per pound and I was told 60 lbs per fireplace.
To me that sounds like a lot

dressing up the inside of my fireplaces

I have looked thru many of the previous topics (on fireplaces) but didn't find any ideas of upgrading the interior of my two fireplaces; the exteriors look great. They are currently set up with gas, they have the grates, but are without logs of any kind. I have seen pics of candles inside that looke...

Post subject: Flooring options

I just had cork installed this week and am very happy with it. I bought it at Lumber Liquidators and had it glued down. I was able to do it for less than $4.00 sf installed. It is very quiet and comfortable underfoot as well.
