Hey everyone on Lotta Livin'. I haven't been posting here much over the past year or so, and I saw the story about the recent decline at the VDL house, and then found this thread. It sure is a shame what is going on over at the VDL. Last year, there was a purge at Cal Poly, and the former director o...

Since Marylin Manson and Dita Von Teese divorced recently, maybe one of them will be in the market. This one looks move-in ready, save for a couple interior coats of dark paint.

wow. Wow. WOW!

Your place is fantastic. I have a book from Alcoa that talks about these houses. You can find it on Ebay once in awhile. I found it by searching 'eames aluminum'.

I was actually looking for an Eames Aluminum Group chair.

Anyway- I love your place. You are so very lucky.

That last one was especially wonderful, Valery! I loved the slotcar city at the end. And the birthday cake coming out of the domed oven complete with candles was pure magic!

I believe Windows is still closed down while they yukify the exterior of the SBC building. What they're doing there is the equivalent of putting up Home Depot MDF country cabinet doors on a kitchen that had Mahogany custom cabinets.

Is the Hanelei Hotel still any good? They used to have a bitchin' tiki/exotica bar. Also, there is a good steak house across the I-8 that I can't remember the name of. So much for memory.
