Do you still have the knobs with backplates. I might be interested. Send me an email if you have them.

Thanks!

My apologies

So sorry to have offended. I just saw something that I thought might be useful for someone and thought I would pass it on. I have to add, though, that many people talk about new products (e.g. Crestview Doors) as mid-century in style. So I don't think I was so out of line. But again, just thought it...

Problems with Crestview Doors?

I ordered one of the window kits from Crestview almost 6 weeks ago. I have not received my windows yet and cannot get anyone to answer the phone or even return my messages. Has anyone else been having problems with Crestview recently and/or can anyone suggest a solution?

Clarification Needed

Does this qualification apply to this election cycle since it is the first one?

Candidate for Chapter Chair should have served for at least one term as a Chair, Associate Chair or other major leadership position.

If so, it is going to severely limit our pool of possible candidates.

Tamares

I emailed with Jonathan from Tamares (Plaza Hotel) this week. They have decided not to go with the Federal Employees building as part of their museum. He said that they wanted to go for something modern that would make a statement. He said he would be happy to meet with me to go over the plans...

There has to be some hard numbers out there on tear down versus just the asbestos removal from a building. Like egads just said, the asbestos removal has to be done either way. If we had some actual numbers for a building of a certain square footage that we could show/tell people, it might be quite ...

Las Vegas: 12/12 Preview of Redevelopment Project

I just received a notice in the mail regarding a Neighborhood Preview of a proposed Redevelopment Project that will take place at Sahara and 6th St. I think it is important that we show up for this "preview." I'm guessing this is from the developer who has been trying to buy up houses in B...

Here's my letter to Mr. Schumacher: As a professor at UNLV and having talked to many students about Maude Frazier Hall in the past couple of weeks, I can say that there seems to be a general sentiment among these members of the UNLV community to save this building. I do think that Mr. Schumacher mak...

I have been so busy with the rally that I haven't had a chance to email Jonathan again. I had suggested pre-Thanksgiving that we meet on 11/26, but didn't hear back. Zane and I agreed to share responsibilities on the possible moving the building project, but I would like for Zane and I to meet with ...

Andy Kirk emailed me this morning. He is on the schedule for the rally today. However, he has class at the time and his students are giving presentations, so he can't miss it with the end of the semester being so near. However, the chair of the History Dept. and UNLV History author Eugene Moehring w...

Wish I could be there tonight. It sounds like a ton of fun!!! I saw a nice phrase on the online petition: Save Maudern Architecture! I also think tapping into the Focus 50 to 100 program the President has going on would be good. Maybe something like: Focus on Maude! Take Maude from 50 to 100!

I received a call from Regent Alden just as I got in to my office this morning. He said that Maude Frazier is going to be on the Regents' agenda for Friday 11/30 at 12:30pm. Here is where the rally stands at this point: 1. UNLV wants $200 for use of the Alumni Amphitheater, which I'm not sure Atomic Age can swing. 2. UNLV Anthropology Society

The Anthropology Society will be happy to sponsor our rally. They are also willing to hand out flyers about the event to students on campus. Their only requirement is that this be framed as a co-sponsored event and that they be able to put out the UNLV Anthropology Society banner. I sent an email of...
