Here's a pic pf my Cliff May original tar and gravel roof: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3375/3278584391_6e651d248e.jpg You can see the old gutter in there too. The roof is still tar and gravel, but the gutters are gone. This thread reminds me that I need to go source some more gravel and toss it a...

That dog house looks too small for my Rusty. However, it is a closer Cliff May design than my dog house attempt. When I got to the roof I realized it was going to be gigantic, so I simplified things. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2718/4159761192_a329fe8fc2.jpg @factory50, if you want I could post i...

Egads, thanks for posting the link. Dani, I think you should do a little fence with numbers near the road. Since the lamppost is there you've got power to do lighting. I believe you had mentioned that changing all outdoor light fixtures was in your cards, so you could make the lamppost replacement/h...

It seems like the birds all know he's around, so they keep themselves in the trees and not so much on the house.

Lexan is a clear polycarbonate. It can be pretty expensive. However, it can take anything. It is used as the windshield in race cars. It is very light and durable. If you want to keep the corrugated look, this place has it: http://www.lexanpolycarbonate.com/corrugated_polycarbonate_sheets_pricing.htm

Rockland, dog's name is Rusty. The deck is redwood. Miguel, Italian Greyhound or Whippet? Either way, they are the perfect compliment to mcm design. My next door neighbors have two rescue Greyhound race dogs. I wish I had more design options in cages for this guy: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2521...

I wanted to do the same thing, but for a dog house. I gave up on the dog house design when it came time to build the roof. Cliff May elements can translate so well into a nice shed structure. I did like having a big driveway previously because I do a lot with cars, but the shape of the space made it mostly unusable. Now there are two spaces in the garage and three in front. I wandered by during an open house a few weeks back. There are many alterations done inside, but it could be brought back. The most daunting task would be the kitchen.
