Then I would carefully remove the glass, and think about how to use it as some sort of backlit art light piece in the house. Don't throw it away... I guess this does depend on what the view to the front is. If it looks out to a street and cars, it would be better to keep the obscured, but if there i...

I think a photo of the interior side of the glass and door would be helpful. It must create an interesting dappled effect with the light. I wouldn't eliminate any original fabric of the house, especially when it is so unique...

Scott and Amber- Your front door is wonderful, period correct, and the glass next to it is unusual and interesting. Please leave it as it is, unless there is a radical problem getting light into the entryway. Neutra is known for his extensive use of glass, yet he always used a solid front door for t...

my back has seen better days, but that's exactly why we pay a neighbor to plow the driveway now and then. it would be a massive undertaking to shovel the whole driveway by hand, but maybe that's what jack lamberson did... http://www.rleffingwell.com/photography/books_tractors/0015_ford_farm_tract.ht...

And do you have photos of your couch?... What vintage photo did you reference?

I doubt if it will ever truly be finished, but we still talk about all of the possibilities in regards to the use of the house. If we can afford to keep it just as a second home, that would probably be the best scenario, and maybe rent it out to a few people here and there. If is weren't for Staffor...

I actually thought the stuff on design was mostly bunk. If you are asking what Eicher, May, or P&K would do, I think they would rarely if ever use wood floors, rather vinyl tile over a concrete slab. Later in the sixties, many architects were specifying Italian quarry tile, brick, flagstone, slate, and other more "natural" surfaces. May did...
