I've been researching this topic over the last couple of weeks. Nordyne inc, makes Broan, Frigidare, westinghouse, etc., has a unique to the U.S. inverter drive system system that produces a top of class SEER rating of 24.5 . Carrier was close behind using a two speed system with a SEER of 21. Carri...

In the last 3 years I've covered the texture on 2 houses. I don't claim to be a pro at this but both came out well. If the walls are painted with a flat finish I didn't bother with priming before applying using a premixed light weight drywall compound. Gloss or semi would need priming. The technique...

Check out this old thread on mcm storage sheds. My slide show is still on photobucket and may help with construction ideas. http://www.lottaliving.com/bb/viewtopic ... highlight=

Nice house. My approach would to selectively remove some of the overgrown bushes, especially the one in the foreground in front of the red wall and trimming larger bushes, also pruning lower branches of the tree would open up the front of the house. One of the cheapest but most dramatic changes you ...

Like the sliding door, sealing out bugs and rain may be a problem. Ok, now the question I've been waiting to bring up. Is it just me or do the rest of you really like these small scale architectural gems. Quick and cheap to build if you do it yourself, small scale lets you go a little wild with colo...

Came across this shed (?) while surfing during the super bowl. Guess I just liked the simplicity of the tab in slot assembly. I'm sure it was CNC cut. www.greggfleishman.com

I used Hardie board with no grooves but a wood grain texture with 3/4 x 3 1/2 Smart board battens also with a wood grain. All this was over 1/2" OSB and house wrap. Sorry about the night picture. Made sure that battens covered seams of Hardie panels. Caulked seams between battens and panels. Ho...

Hi everyone. I've been lurking for way to long, time to start contributing. My name is Neal. For the last 20 years I've owned a custom woodworking and design business. Before that I designed machinery and tooling for a couple of different companies. We bought our Cliff May clone in southern New Mexi...

Here's the slide show of building the blue shed. The panels are 1/2" cement board. I realized after looking at these pictures that I really need to go back and paint the doors behind the panels. Thanks for bringing up this topic. http://s562.photobucket.com/albums/ss70/LasCrucesMod/?albumview=s...
