Thanks for the link Patonite. Here's how the house originally looked. I love the clerestory windows in the living room; very nice details. http://www.docomomoga.org/Kenneth_Johnson/pictures/picture-9.jpg http://www.docomomoga.org/Kenneth_Johnson/pictures/picture-10.jpg

Eugene Weston

This was one of Eugene's early projects published in Architectural Record. I saw this house before it was completely mucked up by the current owners. There are good bone under all that paint. Here's the original article on the tract: http://gallery.me.com/tripitaka/100023/WestonTujunga/web.jpg http:...

La Canada, CA - Jack Simison

It is a remarkably large two bedroom house. As a I recall the couple who built the house didn't have any children. http://i...

Gamble House

There really isn't anything like seeing the real thing. The Gamble house has been a great inspiration on a number of projects and still inhabits my thoughts. I live nearby, so I've been many times and I sometimes go to the special events. It's a shame you didn't get to see the inside; it's quite spe...

Buff & Hensman

What a beautiful house! I love these modest Buff & Hensman post and beams. There was one in our neighborhood, but it is being remodeled and is almost unrecognizable today.

We have had our roof for over two years without any required maintenance. Loose reflective coating may blow off in a good wind storm, but that...
