Entertainment Shelf, cabinet, buffet, credenza, sideboard...

Hey Guys, I'm selling what I think is a pretty cool piece that I need to let go of to make more room in the dining area. It's sort of a one-off piece because I wanted to make it taller by adding some wire / hairpin legs to use as a buffet cabinet next to our dining area. http://i1119.photobucket.com...

Not yet...but the upper cabinets and new refrigerator box are being made as you read this. I needed a custom cabinet maker to finish my idea to box in the washer and dryer while making sure that all the lines and corners match the uppers. I'll post pics in a couple weeks when they guys are in the ho...

Modernica "Pets on Furniture Contest". VOTE NOW!

Hey Guys, Haven't had a reason to post in a while, but I'm curious if there are any other Lotta Livin members who have submitted their pet photos to the Modernica's "Pets on Furniture Contest". Liz and I made the final round with our two pups... "Ace and Deuce from Long Beach". T...

I think the key is going to be in the space between the cabinets and the ability to have a proper "working triangle". The general rule of thumb is that anything over 48" is sufficient for spacing, with no appliances directly across from each other. I also try and create counter space ...

Re: Need creative ideas for our small kitchen

The time has come to start our kitchen remodel... Any way you can post a photo or two from the doorway looking in past the kitchen, and possibly an angle shot from outside of the window next to the refrigerator, looking diagonal across the kitchen? If I had a way to visualize the room from 360º I c...

factory50 / Squeaky, If this deal doesn't work out, please let me know if I can be second in line. I've been drawing up plans for dog houses, and am a bit of a procrastinator of sorts when it comes to doing things from scratch. I'd gladly pick it up, give it a couple coats of fresh paint, add a dog ...

Ace loves to find the warm spots on the sun drenched floors created by the walls of windows in our Cliff May rancho. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/freeriderizzle/DSC03868.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/freeriderizzle/DSC03864.jpg I wish I would have pulled the image back a bit t...

I came across this thread a little bit too late, but have a couple that really bug me... 1) Adding "bay-windows" in the living area and those ugly "bump out" windows in the kitchen. I'll post photos later of the house across the street from me....yikes. 2) Eliminating the eaves b...

Installing Bamboo Floors in my Cliff May

So after much thought and debate, I finally chose, purchased, and started installing Bamboo floors in my Cliff May Rancho. My plan is to cover the living room, dining room, kitchen area (which is now a large open rectangle), and decide on the individual bedrooms at a later date. Originally I was und...

Congratulations on the home! I think it's pretty rad that your house is across the country and nearly identical to mine...obviously in a good, non-stucco box, look-a-like, kinda way. Keep posting photo's and let us know how it comes together. I really like all of the furniture that the last owner had.

Re: redoing these MCMs-

Cliff May would never have gone for black trim. Getting rid of that was a good move as was all of the fine work shown. It's really fun to redo these MCMs. isn't it? Jerry I'm definitely enjoying myself. The new mantel, plus trim work for the "stealthy" electrical and surround sound, is my...
