Good news! The City of Newport Beach has suspended demolition of Mariners Medical Arts Center! Yes, SoCal preservationists get plenty of opportunities to weep openly. Maybe that's why I spend more of my time preserving history itself rather than objects or buildings. All the more reason my hat is off to these hardcore MODCOMmers - they have nerves of steel.
