WAMU

Joe, It's strange that the reason you left WAMU was because they took out two house payments in one month because that's EXACTLY what happened to me last week. They still insist I authorized the second withdrawal so are refusing to cover NSF fees, etc. The strange thing is that my home loan is also ...

Welcome!

You've got a great house- I visited it at one of the open houses. I love your cork floors! Also, Joe ( the carpenter who did your kitchen) also did mine. So if you ever need to get ahold of him I have his info. He's wonderful! Welcome to the neighborhood! Enjoy! Val (on Karen) http://i78.photobucket...

Here's a couple of possibilities:

Not sure how "modern" they might be, but definitely colorful!

Might be worth a peek, if you don't live too far!

Shannon,

I came across this house on the web, and yellow reminded me of your room. Thought it might inspire you.

Color Scheme 4 is my favorite. There are a couple of colors that you could try on the mantle if you want a color to "pop"- color #245 is a bright salmon/orange that is worth a try! Classic Form, Where did you find that clock reference. It's great! I have my eye on the Nelson spindle clock,...

I think the only restriction is on existing trees. They are not supposed to be removed or replaced without prior authorization.

Getting rid of the grass was the first thing we did.

Good luck with the river rock.

MAC lover for life. As a design student at UCLA in the early '80s it was unfortunate that we did most of our work by hand, the first mac was issued my senior year. One of my instructors brought in her personal Mac early 1985 and we were in awe of what it could do, even then with only basic software....

What progress!

Your house is looking good! I've been considering the FLOR tiles in one of the bedrooms, but have concerns about how well they stay affixed when vacuuming, etc. Any problems in that area? Are they all laid on the concrete slab or on top of something else?

Thanks!

Remodel

I love the exposed plywood edge look, the Kerf stuff is wonderful. http://www.kerfdesign.com/ but I'm not sure about how the cabinets open. Also, I put a combination of Lagos Blue (actually a brownish gray look to it) on some counters and a custom glass/concrete island in my kitchen. Love them both!...

We recently installed vertical bamboo in the natural color and love it! It isn't as "hard" as we thought it would be, though. Our dog Jack has done more that his share of scratching the floor while running throught the house, so I wouldn't recommend it for dog traffic. http://i78.photobuck...

I can assure you that it's not another house, just a master suite- fireplace, bathroom, bumped out closet.... They have three rapidly growing kids and needed more space. Stephen, I was looking into track lighting for the kitchen island and decided on a Tiella kit (also made by Tech) at Lowes.
