I loooove this house but the location is a bit of an issue. It appears to be right next to an elementary school playground. That will be loud all day.

It's a beautiful house but it's practically on top of the street. A very, very busy one at that. For a house which is all windows I would say that's a problem.

I'm hearing from my PS real estate connection that the buyer ultimately didn't have the funds to buy the house. What's more, there were no other bids besides the winning one. The lack of bidders could probably be attributed to the outlandish predictions on what the house would end up selling for. I ...

Another example of Palm Springs getting overbuilt. When the market crashes in that town it's going to get really ugly.

Sinatra Palm Springs House

You can see the Sinatra Palm Springs House by Stewart Williams in the 1950 film "The Damned Don't Cry". The exteriors were all shot on location. See Joan Crawford swimming in that pool. The most amazing thing is that the road it's on, Alejo, is a dirt road!

Oceanfront Paul Rudolph for sale in Melbourne Beach, FL

I grew up around the corner from this house and it started my interest in modern architecture, though at the time I had no idea who Paul Rudolph was. Anyway, I was back home this weekend and saw a FOR SALE sign in front of it. Here's a link. The broker says the house needs some work. http://www.mlso...

Anyone know a realtor in Philly who specializes in architectural properties? My sister-in-law is relocating there and looking for help. Thanks in advance for any help.

We used to live two doors down from that house and across the street. If possible, our view was even better, but we had absolutely no yard. Which is why we moved. This house sold about 3 months before ours did. I think it was listed at a hair over $500K. And that was in the summer of 2001. Amazing.

The Fickett was at one time owned by Jack Benny. At least that's what the listing agent told me when it was for sale a few years ago.

Those SOB's owe me money. I renewed my subscription about a month before they went under and I never got another issue. But of course they cashed my check.

I just renewed with Modernism. Let's hope they don't suffer the same fate.
