This is a pretty comprehensive look at the origin of Epcot's "Imagination," design and engineering aspects, and a trip through the ride itself.

Unused Concepts for Tomorrowland

This is a photo album I just created of unrealized concepts for Disneyland's Tomorrowland. These renderings were displayed in the Disney Gallery (when it was above Pirates of the Caribbean) in the late '90s. http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll182/Vonpooka/Unused%20Concepts%20for%20Tomorrowland/

I remember seeing several Bun Boy restaurants in the mid-'70s as my family traveled to northern CA and passed through small towns. In ensuing years, I thought they'd been eradicated from the face of the earth until I passed the one between L.A. and Vegas in 1990. That's the only one I've seen since ...

In some ways, I think having an eclectic Tomorrowland could be a good approach. My own ideal view of the future would be one of diversity: what might work for one community/city may not work for everyone. Some might like a future along the lines of what Walt Disney envisioned: monorails, PeopleMover...

The snow at the Harry Potter grand opening was just tiny pieces of tissue paper. The snow that falls on you in the queue is frozen ice. It's cold as it hits you, and melts fairly quickly. The last time I was at DL, the old PeopleMover/Rocket Rods track was still up. It seemed to me it could've been ...

I remember in the mid-'70s when part of Main St. was converted into a skating rink (it was made to look as if the street had frozen over), and Mickey and Minnie ice skated. One of the many revelations in this book for me is the page describing the costumed character (a la Disneyland's characters or Magic Mountain's trolls), Whittles (originally named the Old Timer)circa the early '70s. This was to have been part of Mattel's Dr. Seuss line that began in 1970, but it never got made. I am helping a friend of mine sell it. In the early '80s I used to go by an abandoned miniature golf course in Eagle Rock that was slowly being reclaimed by nature (but was demolished before that process could get too far). The Movie World museum in Buena Park (originally it was called Movie World--Cars of Stars, Planes of Fame and then became Movie World: A World of Fun) was my introduction to Roth as well.

I believe he did signage there as well as at Knott's, and he helped restore Robby the Robot's moon rover.

Trying to research a Bullocks employee (Palos Verdes store)

He worked there decades ago in home decor (and has been deceased for a while). I've tried different kinds of Google searches, including the news search. Does anyone know if records exist somewhere of employees/department supervisors?

This is for a biography I am writing.

THANKS!
