THis is probably off topic but not sure where to ask, and I googled and searched here. My sister likes "Spanish Style" houses and she is looking for a website such as this one dedicated to Spanish style architecture, manily houses. Does anyone know of such a site with discussion forums lik...

Ross-Nett house redesigned by billy Rose

I mentioned before in some other thread that my father builds swimming pools. Well, the contractors recently sent him an email regarding the Ross-Nett house in BH where my father built the pool and water feature. He sent me the link knowing my interest in MCM homes. Pictures are in it. I don't know ...

Unless you do not plan to stay long, no matter what anyone tells you don't get IKEA cabinets!!! Nothing is wrong with Ikea Cabinets. Better than most of the stuff sold at the Big Box Stores Particle board is not good quality whether it comes from IKEA or a BB store. It is an affordable solution.

Re: Long Beach, CA by Architects Power and Daniel 1959

Custom designed home in Alamitos Heights by D.J. Daniel of Long Beach firm Power and Daniel, and featured in Better Homes and Gardens in 1963. Sold in 2005 for $790K (against multiple offers) to a total wingnut who was thankfully foreclosed on before he could do anymore damage. Is now gutted and in...

Cliff May in Pico Rivera

I THINK I spotted a Cliff May on Washington and Lindsay in Pico RIvera. It was very wierd because this house was right on the northwest corner of this intersection and it was the only one that looked CLiff May. The surrounding neighborhood looked about that age, but the houses in the track that this...

Question about grasscloth wall covering

I am thinking about covering one of my master bedroom walls with this stuff. The wall that I am thinking of for this project is slightly uneven. My question is, will the grasscloth hide the "unevenness", or will it enhance it o that it is more noticeable? The color of the grasscloth will b...

Best advice I could pass on- is to live with the kitchen that is existing. Or try cooking a few meals in the kitchen as it stands. Some times the best ideas come to the table after your toasting to a few drinks to the- new to you- house. We would like to thank M-R_Us for giving us that advice befor...

When you enter my master, you pass through a pair of closets. the bath door is opposite the gable end. Shower to the inside, toilet under the windows. In the mod...
