Re: Help Beta Test the Cliff May Registry

Some of you have heard me mention (okay...harp on and on about) a registry for Cliff May owners so there is a user-supported database of both prefabs and customs. Anyhow, I decided to teach myself PHP and make a database. It's not very pretty, but I think it works. I'd really appreciate your feedba...

My father builds them for a living and I have seen tons of pools and spas. I would have to say that a perfect square or even a perfect circle would go best with your house. You can even get away with a trapezoid that is situated at the right angle. Also, the materials you use will definitely give yo...

I believe you may have been told wrong. I specifically remember a brochure for the Ranchos that states copper plumbing as a feature. I was talking about the main pipes in the slab. I was told that they are galvanized. Everyhting in our baths and kitchen, yes, are copper now. If this is true than th...

See the pipes in the wall of your own thread: http://www.lottaliving.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=6067 The bath remodel got rid of all those galvanized nipples in that bath. Here's another, originally posted by Shephen in another thread: Wash your clerestory windows. (why did I say that? Now I have to do...

Another Ciff May tip, at least for Long Beach Ranchos. Even though our houses where built with copper plumbing, The nipples (short pieces of pipe with threads on both ends) that the stops (shut off valves under the sink) are attached to where often galvanized pipe. These need to be changed to brass...

Looking for short bar stool

I am looking for two stools, shorter than bar stools, to place in front of my kitchen counter - the side that faces the living area. I do not want them to be the typical bar height, but shorter, so that people can sit on them at the 36" kitchen counter. I have seen these before but cannot seem ...

I suppose you can use the teak oil on the outside and a mineral oil on the inside - the mineral oil used to treat wooden cutting boards.

looking for 50s lounge/vocalist images

Does anyone know of a website that has cartoon images of lounge singers, or lounge scenes with a 50s flair such as a Dean Martin caricature on stage, or something like that? I am putting together a Karaoke song book and want to insert this image into the plastic cover of the binder. hope that makes ...

The homes in the Long Beach Ranchos have obviously been leveled and re-built, that is why I do not think they should be counted One is currently in constuction and is no where near what a Cliff May home is. The other homes in questioned are just remuddled (Adding second story, Vinyl windows, etc). ...

I would consult Hal's Glass in Bellflower or Cal State Glass in Los Alamitos. These two stores sell Mistlile (or Factorlite which is similar). They may be able to give some insight. Good Luck! Oh, and you have an Atrium? 8)

Stephen, I can't believe you guessed it! I live on Classic Drive. Did you grow up in this neighborhood? Apparently the original owner of the house was a pretty notorious non-threatening lunatic engineer of some sort. And his wife loved trees, so every tree a neighbor didn't want (when the neighborh...
