Clothes hampers, Ironing board covers and hassak footstools, one of each ever year from the Blue chip stamp store at Topanga and Vanowen, I hated licking those stamps! and then we would never get the cool things from the catalog...remember you would "order" your things and they would send them up fr...

Oh Very Cool! My Aunt in Pacific Palisades had a silver tree with a color wheel in the front window of their “modernâ€￾ home in 1962, I remember my father ranting about that they must be commies to have such a thing. There at the ripe age of 7, I knew that the old man and I were of different plane...

Here is a shameless rip off from TiKi Central. I think this crowd will get a bigger kick from this movie. The poster was Satan's Sin If you like 1950s moms in gorgeous dresses gliding through sparkling modernist kitchens while cheerful violins play in the background and the narrator describes the ap...

In a way, the "big Box" is to blame as well. When you go to Depot, there are 2 to 3 of each item that were made just for Depot (read cheaper by the 10,000) if you want unique you need to special order it and it’s easier for Davis to be un-recalled. The Big Box only carries fast moving items, suppl...

That's Post Modernism interpreted by Contractors for ya. Not to start something but, Contractors as a rule do not design the buildings they build. Architects and designers do that; We (contractors) have to try to build what they draw. Most Architects are trying to be published and there is a huge g...

I agree that Modulars are open and airy like a post and beam, as in a way they are built like a p&b. Most modular plans can be customized like I said before but you pay a preimun. Also remember you will site build your garage which helps with a design. If you find a designer versed in MCM from whom ...

Tenting will kill any plants that are under the tent but will not kill your children or pets. The treatment is a poison gas that dissipates after the tent is removed. There is NO residual. Nothing is left behind. It does however do a total wipeout of all bugs and rodents. Heat requires you to remove...
