These last few years seem to constitute a good moment (after a few bad decades) for some old theaters: Hollywood Palladium, Oakland Fox, Pomona Fox...

Of course we might note the losses, like the Westwood National (demolished 2007 or 2008)...

Cool...San Bernardino's Bicentennial celebration! Interesting San Berdoo dates to 1810, long before CA even became a U.S. State (1851)... How about an informal list of Midcentury resources...? I went to a "Mr. Foxy's" coffee shop in the mid 80's, but it's no doubt gone... The Wiki page act...

Don't know much about Denny's, but I think this signage font must have been a high point in its history. Goofy, light, fun. Of course more bland typography followed and is more prevalent. These signs must be an endangered species. I knew there was a hugely tall one next to the 5 freeway toward San D...
