Dyson alternatives

Does anyone here have a VAX by Royal? I was thinking about the X3 as it has a 12 amp motor like the Dyson and this cool wand that pops out of the front without having to connect and disconect the hose. It's almost half as cheap, but still 249.00.

Burbank, CA - The Albizati Residence

Way out of my budget, but a stunner to be sure is this 1954, Koziol & Hawkins designed post and beam beauty in Burbank. I love the warmth of the wood in this place.

I was just on the Modern Phoenix message board and someone has a link to a 3bd/2ba, 1600sf mid-century modern home for $269,000. Now that's more like it. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/rfs/115199307.html I was cruising around Modern Phoenix myself and had to laugh when I saw people complaining about...

What I really can't stand is when someone paints over perfectly good used brick. There is a house in my parent's neighborhood of Cinderella ranch homes that was in really nice original condition and one of the first things the new owner did was paint the used brick red and painted the grout areas br...

Well, I have not seen an Eichler in Southern California go for less than $650,000 in the last year or so. They are usually closer to $800,000 and up. Cliff Mays in Long Beach are going for $700,000-800,000 as well and places by notable erchitects like Paul Tay or George Montierth are usually found i...

That's some classic MCM there. Too bad it's sat empty for long. It will most likely meet the wrecking ball unless some innovative developer can rennovate it for some other use.

That was some sculpture in the Shops at Bal Harbour, an upscale shopping center. They were attached together, so there was no click-clack action, but it was cool looking.

Man, seeing listings like this in other states, depress the hell out of me. I could probably get $325,000 for my condo right now, but could not get a house anywhere near as cool as this where I live for that much, let alone $182,000! I pretty much have given up on ever having a modern home in L.A. o...

Lautner designed home used in ad.

I am not 100% sure, but we have been working on an ad for Nissan Altima for the last couple weeks and I think it uses an image of the master bedroom of the Sheats-Goldstein residence. It's been heavily retouched and things relating to the car were added, but I'm pretty sure that's it. This ad should...

This ad was designed by TBWA Chiat Day and we did all the color and retouching work for it here at Primary Color in Culver City.
