It would be so cool to have one of those old Jack order box heads. Great for a game room! I remember the groovy packaging they used to used in the 60s that had an antique style illustration of a pointing finger that faced in multiple directions all over the bags that the food came in. This kid in my...

How good are those facsimilies? I've browsed through those a few times in the past and thought about purchasing a couple. They are just ok. I was a bit dissapointed when I received the one I ordered. It was just an ink jet print on glossy photo paper that was hand numbered with a ball point pen tha...

Ships Westwood.

I was looking through the Googie Redux book which has several pics of the Ships in Westwood and I can't see any fixtures that look quite like that. I was only in there once in the early 80s, so I can't say for sure.

We live in Encino Village. Martin Stern was the architect for the entire tract which was built in the mid-1950's (I have a copy of the original sales brochure with his name on it.) The tract has about 5 floorplans and about 4 styles including traditional, ranch, transitional and modern. All of the ...

I wish we had a gas oven/range. I hate cooking with electric. Synthetrix, You definitely should do an electic audit because your expenditures seem way outta line without A/C. How old if your refrigerator? $200 for a condo just seems ridiculous when you aren't running A/C. Is your water heater gas? ...

Yes those seem way overpriced for Portland. I never understood why people would build these homes in cold climates. The heating bills must be pretty high. THat Vancouver one is really nice if you can deal with 200 days of rain a year.

That's a nice contemporary place. Check out these ones in Torrance that I took some photos of last weekend. Nice California contemporary, some with an Asian flair to them. In another great neighborhood with quality schools. There were a couple for sale. http://65.254.59.194/~vstapf/SCM/Torrance01/To...
