Anything can be bought for a price. I've found great outdoor furniture, but my wallet was empty. No wicker, eh? I assume no bamboo, too? there are some great stores in LA if you have the money to spend. If you're thrifty like me, I can't help ya!

Does anyone know if the Thousand Oaks Eichler tract has a special name (like the Granada Hills tract is called Balboa Highlands)? Thx.
p.s. sorry for accidental post on collections forum.

BTW--i found this website that, though not exactly high class outdoor/pool furniture, is still nostalgic and fun, and affordable. Plus, you can custom pick your colors!! Enjoy

Sorry I can't help you find the origination of your patio pieces but they are quite nice! I must say that patio furniture hands down has been the most difficult furniture for us to obtain. How were you even able to find such a complete set? We have had very little luck over the years....our only set...

one last thought--buy a nice credenza for the TV that has doors and put everything else in a closet using WIFI (wireless) technology. We put out dvd, vcr, phonograph, cable boxes all in the pantry and just have the TV on the table. The only drawback is that it is not compatible with all cordless pho...

Large Custom Doors for Eichlers and others

Just wanted to inform you of a hardwood store in Camarillo CA that makes custom large doors at extremely reasonable costs. We purchased a solid core large pressed board front door (pressed board ideal for painting) and a solid core luan veneer side door for under $150 apiece with tax. That was less ...

that's interesting about the 4x4s being on the shower pan, because ours are 1x1 (well, really 3/4" x 3/4") mosaic on the floor--and I really really doubt that these are newer. I'm just confused as to why the owners here would have switched out tile in both of the bathrooms to the pale yellow 4x4s wh...

eichler bathroom tile?

I know I posted this question before....my 1964 Eichler bathrooms have gray/black/white mosaic tile on the bottom in the shower, but light yellow square tile on the bathroom walls and shower walls. When I first saw the house I thought the mosaic tile looked a lot older than the wall tile, and since ...

doesn't your email program allow for all of that? My sister did have some problems with this whe...

I'm always a fan of restoration as opposed to renovation/remodeling. But as an owner of a home, I like to know that it's my freedom to do whatever i want to it, even if it might be the wrong idea to others. They don't have to live in the house; I do!
