Re: Ya might mention...

You have to have a CSPUP login id to access those. I grad'd from there in 1985 so I'm sure they didn't have this back then besides it probably expired anyway. Liked seein the ads tho. Now I know what 'restricted' really means now. (shades of Mad Men) Oops, sorry about that. I was at work when I use...

I may have found the (West) Covina Cliff May seen in this photo: http://www.csupomona.edu/~jelerma/cliffmay/julius_shulman.jpg While searching through an L.A. REDUCED:$139,000 Pomona, CA: Cliff May Ranch NOW w/ PHOTOS!

This poor house needs so much work, it might not even qualify for a loan. But it still has it's original Cliff May bones underneath all that stucco and stonework. Redfin Listing: http://www.redfin.com/CA/Pomona/1857-Wright-St-91766/home/8055432 It's directly across the street from my house and I'm a...

What a fine documentation of the work you've done. A few more photos and it could be a step-by-step online guide to replacing doors and windows. I'm glad to see those So Cal window units found a good home (BTW, it's POmona, not PAmona : )

The Ranch House: Cliff May's Designs for Modern Living

Here is something that got past me (even Mr. Nichols who usually spots these things might have missed it). Anyway, it's still a couple of years away. “University Art Museum Receives Getty Foundation Grant for Special Exhibitionâ€￾ October 28, 2008 (Santa Barbara, Calif.) –– The University Art ...

Here’s a quick and dirty solution. Cut off the dog ear tops off the boards and place a 2x2 or 2x4 cap along the top. It makes the fence look a bit more tidy and more compatible with the style of the house. BEFORE http://www.csupomona.edu/~jelerma/cliffmay/images/house_before.jpg AFTER http://www.c...

Have you considered some type of metal wall sculpture? Something by Curtis Jere perhaps? I have something similar to this over my fireplace: http://www.csupomona.edu/~jelerma/cliffmay/curtis_jere.jpg Although some of his vintage pieces are a bit pricey, there are some licensed reproductions availabl...

Stephen, have you considered landscaping as an alternative? Looking at your place from the air, you seem to have a good 20 – 25 feet between your front door and the curb, and it appears that your neighbors two houses down have extended their fence to within 5 feet of the curb. http://www.csupomona...

An interesting detail about this house is that the kitchen was designed and built by Sam Maloof. Apparently Mrs. Payne was a rather tall woman so the counters in the kitchen are about 3 or 4 inches higher than the standard height. When I toured this house last year there was a signed Sam Maloof dini...

I toured this house a couple of years ago when it was featured on a home tour. It’s a custom-built home in a good neighborhood in the best part of town adjacent to a huge city park. It’s near La Verne, Claremont and other Foothill communities. It’s spacious and situated on a large lot. Althoug...

Here's an aerial view of the area you cited, Stephen. That's Santa Clara Dr. winding through the center. Good going, rockland! These photos have historical value now, since the exterior Lego wall, which was damaged by winds last year, is no more. I don't know if the interior wall is still intact, but the Legos on the chimney are still there.
