You of all people should be able to get Pennsylvania bluestone at a decent price! It should match pretty closely with your slate porch. Locally, we can get 24" pavers, but you may have some more choices.

Don't worry about your floors. You will be surprised at how they look after refinishing them.

Just make sure to refinish before your stuff is in the house to catch all the dust!

Looks amazing! I'd love a closer look if you're ever up for a quick tour. Are there others like it around you? -Barrett There's one other MCM house, but it's a very different style--more like a CA MCM. There are a few ranches from the 1950s, some Meridian-Kessler-style mansions and some split ranch...

Re: MCM Indy

We're on the east side in Lawrence. Very close to Avriel Shull's Ladywood estates. Are you in that lovely MCM pocket off of Springmill? -B I thought you might be in Lawrence--there are a lot of great MCM homes there. We're in Wynnedale, which is close to the Museum of Art and Marion College. It's a...

We sometimes will have condensation on our windows when our furnace fan is off. If your furnace is set to "auto", try switching the fan to run when the furnace is not heating. It just helps circulate the air.

I understand the frustration, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Smeg has a very cool looking induction range coming out soon. I've had a completely un-mid century modern induction cook top (Kenmore Elite) for a year and a half. I love it, love it, love it and would never go back to gas or regular electric. I'm glad to hear you like your induction range. We've b...

I was disappointed to see that the new owners put a chair rail in one of the bedrooms. Maybe it's just me, but chair rails don't seem very MCM homes. At least they were excited to have gotten the house.

I'm from Indiana, and my dad is a Realtor in Indianapolis. I like looking through his listings for Modern houses up for sale. His office sold a really cool one in Shelbyville recently.
