CL: Repro. Le Corbusier--correction

Sorry, we are actually asking $500. We're going to relist on CL to reflect this. Thanks for looking. In the meantime, here's the previous listing.

Please don't take offense, but I really don't like the house. The left side looks like a house turned upside down, and it's monstrous.

That's so depressing. I don't know how people ramble around in their McMansions. I mean, how big of a bedroom does anyone need? Frankly, I do only two things in bedroom, sleep and well, you know . . . . And I'm always amazed at the huge bathrooms people build. Again, why do you need a bathroom the s...

This company carries wood vents, which would look pretty sharp flush mounted in the door once you get them stripped and stained. They carry all sorts of wood species.

Good luck!

I too thought it must have been No Down Payment. Do you remember anything else about the movie? Was anyone famous in it? Did any of the characters talk about their jobs? Their was a good movie on not too long ago called Strangers When We Meet, starring Kim Novak and Kirk Douglas, which featured some...

I found this for RVs--might be more appropriate for you than a bike repair kit. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-roofs/49328.htm There are some others out there if you Google EPDM and patch. If you have a different color EPDM, you may want to call around to roofing companies or roofer supply ho...

This is an example of what I had in mind when I read the original post: http://www.fabral.com/installation/1-1-2ssr.pdf Sheets are preformed, available in lengths up to 47 feet. I assume they have all of the flashing parts necessary. There is also ribbed metal roofing, which is similar. There should...

You can probably do it yourself, but it gets more complicated if you have hips or valleys. I would also use something like Grace Ice and Water Shield over the entire roof, with 30# felt over that, and make sure you understand all of the flashing details. And don't forget that just because you can ea...

Planters

Hi, Our house used to have two planters, both located high up on the walls--sort of like balconies. They were plumbed for water, so I assume that the former owners used dirt in the planters. One of the planters still remains, but we haven't put plants in it since it's so high and no longer plumbed (...

Thanks for all the great tips and compliments! I welcome all of them. I don't think the problem is with the knobs since they turn easily. I think we will start with finding any raised spots and sanding/planing those downs. We'll check the weather-stripping and hinges too. The doors are pretty massiv...

Can't open our door!

Hi all, Our house's front door consists of double doors, each having a door knob in the middle. I love the look, but find it impossilbe to open the door! I always end up directing guests to the door off the carport. I think I have a hard time opening the door b/c I can't get enough leverage due to t...

Click on episode #1611 to watch a segment on Avriel Schull. She was responsible for many MCMs in and around Indianapolis. She truly was no ordinary woman (just look at her wedding, featured in Life Magazine).

Call the water company that serves you and find out what they prefer. Depending on the utility, they may inspect the work prior to you backfilling, so it's a good idea to make sure they are happy. I think whatever you use should be a continuous piece so that there are no buried joints, which means y...
