Got Pics Jesgord? Here's my favorite part of the curtains... http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y240/classicform/DSC05377.jpg Out of site when not in use with the sliding door closed (which should have shirred material to match), although I do like the look of them bunched on the outside too. We left...

We have used a combination of mecho shades with 90% weave and Fanpleat draperies from Homespun Fabrics. Homespun has been making these for over 50 years and they look stupendous in MCM homes. The extruded aluminum ceiling or wall hung tracks all but disappear, the drapes stack cleanly and crisply fo...

Matt, how about posting some more pics of the house-looks very cool! Also, if you really want to find out if the panels do have asbestos, you could always bring in home inspector/engineer or asbestos abatement company to look at the panels and advise as to their makeup. Maybe they are harmless and e...

Looking good! The direct link did not work, though. I had to find it on my own in the Chicago Apt. Therapy. Love the bed! Did you skip the storage drawers underneath....or can I just not see them?

I think its a great idea (but not necessarily a new one). Look at Karl Koch's techbuilt homes and many of Norman Cherner's low cost designs in which all major components (wall, floor, and roof panels) were built on 4 foot modules. The techbuilts were delivered on a truck and could be assembled in a ...

I used the passage and privacy sets inside the house. I did not use it for the entrance. For the entrance I wanted a lever, so I used a Walter Gropius lever from TECNOLINE.

Looking good! The richness of the teak is stupendous! What will you use for countertops in the kitchen? In my mind, for some reason, I'm picturing limestone. that said, you seem to have a GREAT grasp of what materials will look good in your spectacular home!

I considered using rain chain on my home on Eastern Long Island. The greates concern for us, was not their ability to handle the rain, but how they would work in windy conditions. We are right on the L.I. sound and get lots of heavy wind from Nor-easters and the occasional hurricane. We were concern...

Looking at the last drawing you posted, I have a better idea of the space. I like the idea of moving the kitchen against the garage wall. You could move it all the way over to the right hand side of the wall (where the door currently is) to take advantage of the view. Then move the garage door to th...

I'm thinking a total reconfiguration is the way to go. The first few things that strike me are as follows: The area where the white wall (the one with the door to the garage) meets the brown tile looks odd to me. I suspect that there used to be a wall there? The direction that the bar faces seems wr...

At least it wasn't refit as a "country kitchen" or a granite counter topped home depot tiled special. I happen to think that this kitchen job was tastefully done. Original appliances, cabinets and pulls all remain in place.....just in different colors/finishes. As I've said in the past, I'...

Jeez, getting those people on the phone is like trying to pull teeth. I hung up after 10 minutes on hold. I may just bite the bullet and order some and see if its the right stuff. Any other ideas of where to get this stuff or what its actually called would still be appreciated

Hmm hard to tell. The brown looks the flat, the others maybe round. I'm going to give them a call and see what they say. I'm a bit dubious or its roundness, as it is also 18/2 gauge as was the first one. Will let you know what they have to say.
