Cushing, OK - Huge 1953 MCM

This house was posted over at the Designaddict site. A member over there thinks it may have been designed for/by an OU Prof under the direction of Bruce Goff. Has an industrial look about it and the exterior reminds me a bit of EDS's Embassy in New Delhi.....but that's besides the point. For $395,00...

I have recently become OBSESSED with moss. I have come to believe it is a perfect ground cover and have been doing a good deal o...

These Manzanitas truly have an incredible sculptural quality about them. Not to highjack the thread, but there is a timely and interesting two part article in the SF Chronicle about a new variety of Manzanita recently discovered in San Fran. From everything I've seen posted in this thread so far, I really like Slim&Gabby's suggestion of the "Dr. Hurd" Manzanita....wish these could grow out east. The gnarly trunk shape and curling bark are just too cool :D http://www.smgrowers.com/imagedb/ArctostaphylosmanzanitaDrHurd.jpg h...

Glad to hear that everyone is in agreement that it should go back up. Its one of the elements of the house I love and as Rockland points out, has a definite purpose. Re: House + Home magazine issue needed!! - can anyone help??

I have exhausted my internet searches for the Feb. 1953 issue of House and Home. Does anyone have an extra copy, or could scan for me, or let me borrow to scan? I only need 8 pages. Maybe someone knows where I can find one for sale besides ebay. The bound volume at the library here is non-circulati...

I liked the left side fence and given the price of lumber these days, that's where I would spend that money. I agree with scowsa on both these points.
