I LOVE the tiles on the bathtub surround. I also like the cabinet design and that the tiles run at the angle of the surrounding cabinetry. Very nice. I can't wait to see it finished.

I have not been able to find the thru-wall range vents/fans that I think are pretty common in 50s homes, Cliff Mays in particular. Does anyone know where to find these. I saw one in a new house in Dwell a few months ago so I know they must still make them. Ours looks like it's missing some parts and...

Didn't anyone mention putting those self-stick vinyl tile squares on a beautiful hardwood floor!! The two varieties we had in our house were one that looked like brown marble and one that was supposed to look like a parquet floor... over our wood floor. I know I'm not the only one's who's had to han...

I think if you can get more for your money by building new, I would encourage you to do it. You won't have to make compromises in the design or location. I own a 1300 sf Cliff May in the midwest, though in a well-developed area (as most suburban developments are) and my property taxes are no lower t...

I also just joined! There are five Cliff May houses in Prairie Village, KS in a subdivision of developer J.C. Nichols who developed most of Kansas City's first suburbs and the Plaza downtown, for those of you who've been here. Of our 5 Cliff Mays, one has a new steeper-pitched roof on it (and scallo...

love it

I love the palms! I grew up in Tampa, so I have a particular attachment to that style. I think the whole bathroom is great. The accessories, the tile, the colors. I wish I had one as nice.

Hi! New Cliff May owner in KC!

We just bought our Cliff May in March and (though difficult), I registered on this site and have found invaluable help thus far. Unfortunately, our Cliff May is a mess and not very environmentally friendly in our climate. There was no insulation in the walls, as is the case with many of you, and rot...
