vacant lots

There are not to many vacant lots around here, but there are some moderns, and a lot of custom ranch homes. Basically the whole city was built during the 50's and 60's.

Wonder Bowl was also in Downey

There was also a Wonder Bowl in Downey on Firestone Bvld. If there are any pictures of that alley around I would sure like to see them. It was right down the street from Johnies Broiler.

Oldest Original Mc Donald's in Downey

The oldest original Mc Donald's is a great place to go. It even has a museum with a lot of pictures and stuff.
Located at the corner of Lakewood and Florence in Downey.

I stripped my fireplace with something called Ready Strip Pro. I bought it at All American in Downey, however I am sure you could buy it anywhere. It took a lot of scrubing with a wire brush. This home once owned by the Jones family will be torn down and replaced with a mall if t is not sold. Please pass this info on to anyone who is interested in moving and restoring a grand old home.
