Just got back from another week in Vegas - sorry to miss the Modcom meeting last Monday- the Stardust has replaced all the Wayne Newton billboards along I-15 north of Barstow with new billboards about the "legendary Stardust" with the logo. Really nicely done. Guess someone in the Marketing Dept dis...

There was an article in today's LA Times Business section (inside second page for those reading the hard copy) that says the Eastern Columbian has been sold and will be turned into condos that cost between 300,000 and 600,00. There is a brief history of the building in the article. No word in the ar...

The La Concha's Tile Mosiac is MIA

A friend of mine just told me that the tile mosiac that Chris mentioned upstream and that was still there at the end of April is now MIA and no longer hanging in what remains of the La Concha.

Anyone have any idea where it went???

Let's hope no pieces fall off into traffic this time. From a news account in the RJ, the contractor is paying a hefty daily fine for not finishing the project by the contract date.

Lots of talk on the news and in the paper about the extension routes.

Here's hoping!

I was up in Vegas two weeks ago. The Tam is gone, however the Glass Pool was still there. No water in the pool but still there for anyone who wants to stop by and take a picture.
