Great house, but how many people with $8k a month available to spend on housing are looking to rent long-term and not buy? Serious question.

The original owners of our house added a huge wooden mantle to the stone fireplace after it was built. We were able to remove the cleats and fill the holes, and now you would really have to study the fireplace to tell that the mantle was ever there.

Can you tell us more about Sunmor Estates? I thought that I knew all of the Alexander neighborhoods, but I've actually never heard of this one. The style of the house (roofline, windows, etc.) also looks different than in the other Alexander neighborhoods like Vista Las Palmas, Racquet Club, etc.

Definitely looks nicer than most of the comparable MCM homes I've seen in Atlanta. Some of the remodeling choices are indeed questionable, but hey, at least it doesn't have a country kitchen!

Re: new limited edition Red Componibili Round Ups by Kartell

I just bought the two up and three up limited edition Red Componibili units. I love them so much. I really want to go back and buy more!! It's great that these are available again at a reasonable price, as the vintage red ones had become rather expensive. Does anyone know how long these will be in ...

This doesn't mean you are selling your house, though, does it? You can't sell that house. It's too perfect. It's funny how often a house appears on this show, only to turn up on the market a couple of months later. I don't think the premise of the show is supposed to be that the houses featured are...

We have waxed/buffed VCT in three of our bathrooms and don't find it overly slippery. It's probably about the same as the ceramic tile that was in those rooms originally.

Tullahoma, TN 1972 AIA Award-Winning House For Sale

We are selling our home, known as the Shipp House, in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The house was designed in 1972 by Lee Prout of Joyce, Pearson & Prout, and won an AIA award in 1976. We purchased the home several years ago from the original owners and did an extensive renovation throughout the interio...
