Pin-up Girl Artist Question...Who Drew This?

I bought a few pieces of this stationery several years ago from a lady who owned a nudist ranch on Sandhill during the 1950s and 60s. I can't make out the artist's signature in the lower left area.

Boulevard Motel, Las Vegas 1963-2005

I was driving down Las Vegas Boulevard today and noticed that one of the ugliest motels on the strip had finally been demolished. The original sign has been gone for years. http://members.aol.com/yaketyyak72158/boulevard1.jpg http://members.aol.com/yaketyyak72158/boulevard2.jpg

Glad to hear you had a safe evening. I love the Allstate...I've always wanted one to putt around on but it wouldn't be safe to ride around here...way too many hit and runs. China Garden Cafe Sign...from Cedar City, Utah to Las Vegas

When I was in Cedar City a few years ago I snapped a picture of this classic 1950's China Garden Cafe sign. The sign was taken down when the restaurant closed and is now in the Las Vegas neon graveyard. I believe it was built by the YESCO Sign Company. http://members.aol.com/yaketyyak72158/china.jpg

Sombrero Motel Las Vegas Since 1954....GONE!

I was driving down the strip to pick up some stuff at the Tropicana and saw that the Pollyanna (former Sombrero) Motel had been demolished! I had always wanted a room number off of one of the doors...they were shaped like small sombreros! They were mostly closed the past several years (trying to avo...

SDR: The Nishika camera has four lenses and takes regular 35mm film. In order to print an image I would sit at a huge computer which had a screen and I would move the curser to the main subject of the photo (usually a person) and click on it. This would be the main focal point. The computer would th...

I worked as a printer at Nishika in 1989/90 and again in 1993 before they went belly-up...unfortunately the print material they were printing peoples photos on was bad and the pictures turned different colors. WOW! I'd love a picture of that sign...can't believe it's still there! We used to walk down the street to that Hy-Vee and buy Pop Rocks in the 1970s. Great pictures! I really like the pictures you shot of your Ford...not many places around here look like they did 50 years ago. I've been shooting for many years and grew up working in the darkroom.
