Beautiful!

Your kitchen's beautiful! OK, I took the easy way, (and expensive way), out of the kitchen remodel project. We hired a cabinet maker to oversee the whole project. 3 and a half months from demo to completion. Boy, was it worth it! http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j113/casalopez4/Kitchen Good luck on...

Remodel

I just finished my front room redo. Here's a link to pictures where you can see the process. It was a lot of money, but it's beautiful. I had custom sliders made to match the original windows, custom cabinets, the works. My cabinet guy, Joe Estrada, works out of Cypress, so he's local. Does great wo...

Surprises

We found a surprise when we opened up a wall to add a spice cabinet... Turns out there was a window next to the original doors to the lanai. It's now a den, and not much use for a window. Rather than remove it, we drywalled over it again so that someone else can discover it again... down the road. h...

It's definitely a great idea. Maybe we can get an idea of who's interested and set up a starting point and time and work out map . We can all "stroll" the Ranchos together, and have appetizers and drinks along the way! Count me in. My kitchen's just about done!

Rancho Kitchen

Hey neighbor, Your place looks great! We're still in the process, but I have posted a link to some images of the makeover. They're on the Sticky: Lotta Living Member Websites section. Check it out! Hopefully we'll be done within a few weeks... hopefully in time for a holiday "open house" n...

Thanks for the info Sheryl! I guess it's north of Mezzanine if it's the swing out windows, huh? I could use a few.

I think if you did take a trip through Rossmoor these days you'd cry. Although there are still a few "originals" to be found, most newly purchased homes are practically torn down and the lots are greatly overbuilt. Although they may be beautiful, they're a far cry from what was originally ...

Cliff May lecture / tour

Just thought that I'd share this link again. I know a few of you saw it in another forum, but there's a Cliff May lecture and tour being sponsored by the Friends of the Gamble House. Here's the link for info.

For those of you in Southern California.... Friends of the Gamble House are offering a Schindler lecture and a tour of this house in February.

There's also a Cliff May lecture/tour slated for March. (a little pricey)

Looks interesting!

Looks wonderful! Love the fireplace. What I'm really jealous of is the fall colors outside. It's still summer here...80 degrees today.

Yes, that article was a great one. I've lived on Karen for over 6 years. I'm in the middle of remodeling my kitchen/front room. We're having sliding doors made to match the windows (sorry, but the french door style won't cut it with an out of control dog! We gotta have screens), new custom cabinets,...

Sunday Morning Show -CBS

Help!! Did anyone happen to record the Inside Style episode this morning? I only got a black screen and had to suffer through only the audio. I'd love to see it! Lone Cliff May - Pico Rivera

I live in the Long Beach Tract, but grew up and now teach in Pico Rivera. There's a lone CM in Pico. I know the family that lives in this house, but didn't realize it was a May until I bought my own in 2000. It's on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Lindsey Avenue. I'll try to get a picture of it t...

Welcome to the neighborhood! I've lived on Karen for the last 6 years and absolutely love my house. We've done some work on the landscaping, pool, and installed a few windows/doors, but besides that, we're waiting to do the major kitchen/front room remodel. Our house had already had a kitchen redo w...

New Guy/Gal

I've been checking the site out since a local real estate agent passed along the web site. I live in a Cliff May rancho in Long Beach and enjoy hearing all the chatter about restoring/renovating our homes. It seems that there aren't many new guys joining? What's up?''
